Janelle Soler is a Cuban artist + designer based in Atlanta, Georgia.

B I O :

Janelle (Soler) Martinez-Cruz (b. 2001) is a Cuban-Puerto Rican contemporary artist known for her vibrant mixed-media paintings that explore light, nature, and the richness of her Latin heritage.

She holds a degree in Graphic Design and Fine Art, with minors in Marketing and Business Administration. Alongside her fine art practice, Janelle has cultivated over seven years of experience in the floral industry, freelancing for distinguished and VIP clientele. This work has refined her sensitivity to color, texture, and organic composition—elements that seamlessly translate into her visual language on canvas.

Janelle’s artistic career began early, with her first gallery exhibition in 2015. In 2021, she was invited to be represented by a gallery, marking a pivotal moment in her professional trajectory. Her work has since been featured in group exhibitions, acquired by private collectors internationally, and showcased through collaborations with local businesses via workshops and live painting experiences.

Rooted in memory and movement, my work draws from the warmth of my upbringing, the presence of my big Latin family, and the sensory experiences of nature—sunlight, ocean air, and lush landscapes.

My background in floristry and fine art informs my approach to composition, where I translate the beauty of natural forms into layered, expressive works. I am drawn to the balance between structure and spontaneity, allowing each piece to become intuitively while remaining grounded in storytelling.

Through my work, I seek to evoke a sense of joy, nostalgia, and connection—inviting viewers to reflect on their own moments of beauty and belonging.
