My Floral Style: Where the Tropics Meet the Garden, con amor

I've always been drawn to flowers that feel like they're still growing.

Not perfectly round. Not overly polished. Just full of movement, personality, and life.

My floral style lives somewhere between a lush tropical garden and a quiet afternoon wandering through nature. I love combining sculptural tropical blooms like anthuriums, orchids, and calla lilies with softer garden flowers, delicate greenery, and textures that make an arrangement feel collected rather than constructed.

Growing up in a Cuban and Puerto Rican family, color was never something to be afraid of. It was everywhere—in our homes, our food, our celebrations, and the landscapes that inspired so many memories. That warmth naturally found its way into my work. Even when I'm designing with an all-white palette, I'm always looking for movement, light, and joy.

I want my arrangements to feel like they have a story.

Sometimes that means an orchid reaching a little farther than expected. Sometimes it's a vine that spills over the edge or a single bloom that catches the sunlight just right. Those imperfect moments are often my favorite.

I rarely begin with a strict formula. Instead, I let the flowers guide the design. I pay attention to how each stem naturally wants to grow and build around that rhythm. The result is something that feels organic, airy, and alive.

Whether I'm designing for a wedding, creating flowers for a dinner party, or delivering a bouquet just because, my hope is always the same: that someone pauses for a moment, smiles, and feels something.

Flowers have a way of turning ordinary days into memorable ones. That's the kind of beauty I hope to create every time I design.
